The problem

Some dogs need to move before they can switch off

A puzzle board is nose-work with the body still. For dogs who pace, whine and can't settle, the thing that actually drains them is having to move to earn each mouthful — chasing the ball around the room does more than the food inside it.

How it works

  1. 1

Twist it open, tip in a portion of dry kibble or small treats, and close it.

  2. 2

Set the dial wide open for the first few sessions so food comes out easily and the game makes sense.

  3. 3

Once they've got it, close the dial down. The same portion now takes several times longer and a lot more walking.

What you get

A hard-shell ball you fill with kibble. As your dog pushes it around, food falls out — and a dial changes how big the opening is, so you can make it generous on day one and stingy once they have worked it out.

  • Adjustable opening — set it easy to start, then make it harder
  • Takes ordinary kibble, so it can replace the bowl entirely
  • Rolls unpredictably, which keeps the chase going
  • Food-grade ABS, BPA free (supplier-stated)
  • Opens up to clean properly rather than trapping crumbs

Who it's for

  • Dogs that pace and can't settle in the evening
  • High-drive breeds on a rainy week
  • Dogs left alone for a few hours
  • Anyone wanting to feed a whole meal without a bowl

Complete the routine

One tool solves one moment of the day. These kits pair it with what usually comes next — and cost less than buying the pieces separately.

Questions people actually ask

How noisy is it on hard floors?

Honestly — noisy. A hard ball on tile or laminate is loud. On carpet or a rug it's fine. If you live in a flat with neighbours below, use it on a rug.

What size kibble fits?

Standard dry kibble and small training treats. Very large biscuits won't clear the opening even at its widest setting.

Will a strong chewer destroy it?

It's a rolling toy, not a chew toy. Dogs who pick it up and crunch rather than push it will eventually crack the shell. Supervise early sessions to see which kind of dog you have.

Still unsure? Ask us — we'd rather talk you out of the wrong product than process a return.
