Does the suction hold on wood floors?
On smooth sealed wood, usually. On textured or unsealed boards, no. Tile and vinyl are the most reliable.
Is it safe to leave a cat with it unsupervised?
Check the spring teaser and the balls are secure before you leave it out, and stop using it if anything works loose. As with any cat toy with small parts, use your judgement about your own cat.
