The problem
Cats don't scratch the sofa out of spite
Scratching is how a cat maintains its claws and marks territory — it isn't optional, and it isn't a behaviour you can train away. The only thing that reliably works is putting something better in the place they have already chosen, which means the scratcher has to fit that place.
How it works
- 1
Fold it into the shape that matches where your cat already scratches — flat against a sofa arm, arched in the middle of a room, curled into a corner.
- 2
Put it directly next to the furniture being scratched, not across the room. Cats pick the location first and the surface second.
- 3
Once they're using it reliably, you can move it a few inches at a time.
What you get
A concertina of dense corrugated card that folds flat, arches into a bridge, or curls into a nest — so it fits the corner your cat has already decided to scratch. Comes as a two-pack, with a bell ball running in the channel.
- Folds into a flat pad, an arch, or a curl — put it where the scratching already happens
- Dense corrugated card with a honeycomb texture closer to bark than flat card
- Bell ball in the channel gives a reason to come back to it
- Doubles as a resting spot for smaller cats
- Two per pack, so you can cover two problem corners
Who it's for
- Anyone with a scratched sofa arm or carpet edge
- Indoor cats without access to trees or posts
- Multi-cat homes needing more than one scratching spot
- Small flats where a full cat tree won't fit

Complete the routine
One tool solves one moment of the day. These kits pair it with what usually comes next — and cost less than buying the pieces separately.
Questions people actually ask
How much mess does corrugated card make?
Some. All card scratchers shed flakes; a weekly vacuum around it handles it. If shedding is a dealbreaker, a sisal post is a better fit than this.
How long does one last?
That depends entirely on how hard your cat goes at it. Refolding to expose fresh surfaces buys a lot of extra life, and there are two in the pack.
Will it actually stop my cat scratching the sofa?
Only if you put it where the sofa is. Location matters more than the surface — a scratcher on the other side of the room gets ignored.
