The problem
The cat that eats too fast and brings it straight back up
Scarf-and-barf is one of the most common reasons cats vomit undigested food minutes after a meal — they swallow faster than the stomach can cope with, and air goes down with it. Slowing the mechanics of the meal is the simplest thing to try, and it costs nothing to run.
How it works
- 1
Put the usual portion into the maze side — the same amount you'd normally serve, just spread through the channels.
- 2
Your cat has to work each channel with tongue and paw instead of taking the whole bowl in a few mouthfuls.
- 3
If they get frustrated in the first few days, start with food in only the outer channels and move it inward as they get the idea.
What you get
A two-sided feeding bowl with a moulded maze on one face and a plain dish on the other. Flip it to the maze side when your cat is eating too fast, flip it back for water or an ordinary meal. The ridges are spaced for a cat's muzzle rather than scaled down from a dog bowl.
- Maze ridges sized for a cat's mouth, not a shrunken dog bowl
- Supplier-stated: stretches a meal to roughly 5–10 minutes
- Flip it over for a plain bowl — one bowl covers both jobs
- Non-slip base stops it skating and tipping food onto the floor
- Detachable and smooth inside, so it actually washes properly
- Compact 21 x 21 x 8 cm footprint for small kitchens
Who it's for
- Cats that vomit shortly after eating
- Cats that finish and then go and take the other cat's food
- Households feeding two cats at different speeds
- Indoor cats with nothing between them and the bowl

Complete the routine
One tool solves one moment of the day. These kits pair it with what usually comes next — and cost less than buying the pieces separately.
Questions people actually ask
Does it work for dry food, wet food, or both?
Both. Dry kibble sits in the channels well; wet food works but takes more scrubbing, which is why the insert detaches.
My cat just gave up and walked away. Now what?
That's normal for the first few meals. Load only the outermost channels so the first mouthfuls are easy, then move food deeper into the maze over a week or so.
Will it stop my cat being sick?
We can't promise that. Vomiting has plenty of causes and some of them are medical. Slowing the meal helps specifically when the cause is eating too fast. If your cat is being sick regularly, see a vet before buying anything.
Is it big enough for a dog?
The ridges are moulded around a cat's muzzle, so most dogs clear it too easily. For dogs, the Puzzle Feeder or the Treat Ball slow things down far more.
