Cats evolved to get most of their water from prey, and a bowl of still water in the corner doesn't much interest them. Moving water does. It's a small change worth making before it turns into a reason to visit the vet.
How it works

Fill to the line, plug the USB pump in, and put it somewhere away from the food bowl — cats prefer water and food apart.

How quiet is it really?
The supplier rates the pump as ultra-quiet, and a correctly filled fountain is close to silent. A fountain running low on water gets loud — that's true of every fountain, and it's almost always the cause when someone says theirs is noisy.
Does it come with a filter?
What's in the box is listed above — the fountain, the pump and the USB cable. We're not going to list a filter unless one is actually included.
Is there a mains plug in the box?
It's USB powered and the cable is included, but you'll need your own USB plug or a spare port. Most people already have one.
How often does it need cleaning?
